OPERATIONS MANAGER- GP Out of Hours Service – Dublin

                                                                                   

The service, supported by local GPs, will provide urgent care for their patients in South East Dublin and North Wicklow. The service will operate from 6 PM through 8 AM Monday to Friday, and 24 hours Saturday, Sunday and all bank and public holidays.
The role

 

·     Provide wide managerial support, overseeing day-to-day operations related to clinical sites, the call centre, administration, training, IT/telecommunications services, transport and logistics.

·     Working with the Chief Executive, deal with third party enquiries, liaise with health bodies, and help build a highly responsive team

·     Ensure that clinical and administration systems/ procedures are effective, up-to-date and efficient; health and safety policies are fit for purpose; proper work practices are adhered to

·     Monitor performance and see that any necessary changes are rapidly implemented

 

The person

 

·     An excellent record of supervising staff in a dynamic, customer service-type operation coupled with proven motivational and people management skills

·     A third level qualification, preferably in business or an IT related discipline

·     Some knowledge of call centre operations and related IT/telecommunication systems

·     An able communicator, with the presence and credibility to lead and influence

·     Trusted, of integrity, committed to the highest standards of performance, quality and safety

·     Willing to work to flexible schedules incorporating ‘on call’ hours

 

Candidates must have the right balance of business acumen, technical skills, and leadership ability for this demanding, challenging position.
